Designed as a method of testing our understanding of technical and professional communication, this report required students to evaluate professional documentation. Measuring strengths and weaknesses of each document required students to consider what makes a form of communication successful. Observations were centered around a corpus of sources that aligned with the rhetorical approach of the documents of our choosing.

This assignment required students to analyze the communication tactics of websites to make observations about their target audience. To make observations about who the content was made for, I mostly considered the content’s structure/organization, and word choice.

For this assignment, I was tasked with creating a word cloud using TagCrowd.com which factored in key words related to three texts I chose. Once the word cloud was completed, I then made an observation on what the keywords say about the field of technical communication.
